L.A.-based future funk outfit The Milky Way present the “Dubai b/w Milky Way” single. Sum – best known for his 2009 Lone Wolf album with producer Belief – fronts this band of underground stars comprising guitarist, keyboard players, background vocalists and more, amongst them NYC producer P.U.D.G.E. and L.A. deejay Cee Brown. “The Milky Wayans” have performed with the likes of Dwele, Arrested Development and The Pharcyde all over Los Angeles. “‘We have many different sounds, and ‘Dubai’ is one – minimalist electronic rap for the fun of it,” says Sum. “‘Keep It Milky’” is the slogan and mission statement for the band. Life and it’s obstacles should never throw you too far off your game. Bruce Lee said ‘be like water’, we say ‘keep it milky’.” Sum is working on Dragon, a two-volume solo project featuring production from Needlz, Ski Beatz, Brandun DeShay, Computer Jay, Tye Hill and many others.
